Common Questions

What patients ask most often

We have answered the questions we hear most from patients navigating care after an accident. If you do not see yours here, call us — we are happy to help.

After an Accident4 questions

What to do after an accident

  • First, make sure you are safe. Move to a secure location if possible and call 911 if anyone is injured. Even if you feel fine, it is important to get checked out — many injuries like whiplash and soft tissue damage do not show symptoms right away.

Seek medical attention as soon as possible. Delaying care can make injuries worse and may complicate your recovery. At Good Care Wellness, we offer same-day appointments so you can be seen quickly.

  • Yes. Many common accident injuries — including whiplash, muscle strains, and spinal misalignments — do not cause immediate pain. Symptoms can appear hours or even days after the incident.

Getting evaluated early allows us to identify and address injuries before they become chronic problems. It also creates a record of your condition from the time of the accident.

Same-day appointments are available. You do not need an attorney or insurance approval to be seen.
  • As soon as possible — ideally within 24 to 72 hours. Early evaluation gives us the clearest picture of your injuries and helps you start recovery sooner.

If you are in pain or unsure, call us at (754) 220-2400 and we will get you in the same day.

  • You are still eligible for care. Personal injury protection (PIP) in Florida covers all occupants of a vehicle, and we also accept injury liens regardless of your role in the accident.

Call us and we will walk you through your options.

Insurance & Payment4 questions

Insurance and payment options

  • A personal injury lien (also called a letter of protection) is an agreement that allows you to receive treatment now and pay for it when your case settles. We are compensated directly from the settlement proceeds.

This means you can get the care you need right away — with no out-of-pocket cost upfront.

  • No. We accept personal injury liens, which means you can receive care without paying anything upfront. You do not need active health insurance or auto insurance to get started.

No upfront cost. No insurance required to be seen.
  • No. You do not need an attorney to receive care at Good Care Wellness. We see patients at every stage — whether you have legal representation or not.

If you decide to work with an attorney later, we can coordinate with them as needed.

  • Florida is a no-fault state, which means your own auto insurance policy's PIP coverage pays for medical expenses after an accident — regardless of who was at fault.

PIP typically covers up to $10,000 in medical benefits, but you must seek treatment within 14 days of the accident to qualify. Contact us as soon as possible to protect your benefits.

Your First Visit4 questions

What to expect at your first visit

  • Your first visit begins with a thorough evaluation of your injuries and symptoms. Dr. Magdy will review your health history, discuss the details of your accident, and assess your areas of pain and discomfort.

Based on the evaluation, we will create a personalized treatment plan designed around your specific needs and recovery goals.

  • Please bring a valid photo ID and any accident-related paperwork you have — such as a police report or insurance information. If you have been seen by another provider since the accident, bring those records if available.

If you do not have everything, do not worry. We can still get started and collect additional information as needed.

  • Plan for approximately 60 to 90 minutes for your initial evaluation. Follow-up visits are typically shorter, depending on your treatment plan.

  • In most cases, yes. After your evaluation, Dr. Magdy will discuss your treatment options and, if appropriate, begin care the same day.

Treatment & Recovery4 questions

Treatment and recovery

  • We specialize in injuries related to auto accidents and personal injury, including whiplash, back and neck pain, soft tissue injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions affecting the spine and surrounding structures.

We also offer rehabilitation services to help restore strength, mobility, and function after an injury.

  • Every patient is different. The number of visits depends on the nature and severity of your injuries, how your body responds to treatment, and your recovery goals.

Dr. Magdy will outline a recommended treatment plan at your first visit and adjust it as your recovery progresses.

  • Yes. Chiropractic care is a well-established, non-invasive approach to treating musculoskeletal injuries. It is commonly recommended for accident-related conditions such as whiplash and spinal misalignment.

Dr. Magdy will evaluate your specific condition before recommending any treatment to ensure it is appropriate for you.

  • Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in soft tissue and reduce chronic pain. It is often used for conditions involving tendons, muscles, and connective tissue.

During your evaluation, Dr. Magdy will determine whether shockwave therapy is a good fit for your specific condition.

Access & Languages3 questions

Access and language support

  • Yes. We offer phone interpreter services in Spanish and Creole so that language is never a barrier to receiving care. Please let us know your preferred language when you call or book your appointment.

  • We understand that transportation can be a challenge after an accident. If you need a ride to your appointment, we will provide transportation for you — just let us know when you call or book.

  • We are open Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends are available by appointment.

Call us at (754) 220-2400 or email [email protected] to schedule.
